On 25 August 2017, Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army attacked several police stations. After the attack Myanmar army counterattacked Rohingya villages causing massive influx of refugees, according to UNHCR 630,000 people, into Bangladesh.

While there are many refugees who testify the facts of violence from the Myanmar army, Myanmar government restricts access to Rakhine State, where there are Rohingya villages, to overseas media and the United Nations investigation team. Myanmar military also reports that there was no victims of innocent people, while at least 376 terrorists were killed during fighting. While the fact of massacres against Rohingya was not clarified, I visited refugee camp and met many people who were injured in the attacks of Myanmar army.

Their scars are the physical evidence of the horrific violence, and I felt it should be recorded.
